Welcome to KACCNY
Korean American Community Center of New York Programs
There are no other critical services than helping to empower and educate people to better lives and these programs are designed to become an important basis for the awareness and resolution of such critical issues mentioned above which involve our community members.Only through educating the immigrant public can we avoid such misconceptions and ignorance that can lead to tragic circumstances.
The Korean American Community Center of New York, Inc. (KACCNY) has developed a new program for educating the immigrants about importance of correctly filing Tax. The New Program teaches Income Tax Report, Social Security Tax and Social Security Benefits through many ways, including seminars, workshops, one-on-one counseling and e-filing computer classes. By educating them about the social security tax and benefits, they would also gather the knowledge about Medicare and other benefits from our government after their retirement. Currently, many immigrants who are self employed, do not understand the importance of reporting incomes for the social security system and receiving the earned social security benefits. Most of them did not receive any social security policy education and the lack of such awareness result in them suffering financial consequences and sometimes even facing health risk problems as result of not being able to afford medical costs.
